Cancellation & Refund Policy

HomeCancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated: October 2026

Travel plans change — we get it, life happens. This policy explains exactly how cancellations, changes, and refunds work when you book with InfinityFares, so there are no surprises. The short version: the airline's or supplier's rules govern your ticket, we handle all the legwork for you, and we're always upfront about fees before you pay a penny.

1. The 24-Hour Rule (Good News First)

If your flight departs from or arrives in the United States, U.S. Department of Transportation rules require airlines to let you cancel for a full refund within 24 hours of booking — as long as the booking was made at least 7 days before departure. Many of our partner airlines honour this on international routes too. If you qualify, call us and we'll process it.

2. How Cancellations and Refunds Work

2.1 Every ticket has its own rules. Whether you can cancel, get a refund, or receive a credit depends on the fare rules of the airline or supplier that issued your ticket:

  • Refundable fares — cancel anytime before departure for a refund (minus any airline penalties).
  • Non-refundable fares — typically no cash refund, but most airlines issue an e-credit or allow a date change for a fee.
  • Basic economy / promotional fares — often the most restrictive. Sometimes changes aren't allowed at all.

2.2 Before you pay, our agents can tell you the fare rules for your specific ticket. Booking online? The rules are shown at checkout. Not sure? Ask us before you book — it's much easier than after.

3. Refund Timeline

3.1 Once the airline or supplier approves a refund, we process it back to your original payment method within 7–21 business days of receiving the funds.

3.2 Airline refund processing times are outside our control — some suppliers take a few weeks to release funds. If things are taking longer than expected, call us and we'll chase them on your behalf. That's literally part of our job.

4. Our Service Fees

4.1 For cancellations, changes, or refunds processed through our support team, InfinityFares charges an agency processing fee of $25 (USD) per ticket. This fee is in addition to any penalty or fare difference charged by the airline or supplier. We always confirm the total cost (airline penalty + our $25 fee) with you before we process anything — you'll never see a surprise charge.

4.2 If the airline cancels your flight or significantly changes your schedule, we do not charge a service fee to rebook you or process your refund. That's on them, not you.

5. How to Request a Cancellation, Change, or Refund

It's simple:

  • Call us 24/7 at +1-855-202-4622, or email support@infinityfares.com;
  • Have your PNR (booking reference) and the lead traveller's name ready;
  • Tell us what you'd like — cancellation, date change, name correction, or refund;
  • We'll check your fare rules, tell you the exact cost (airline penalty + any service fee) before anything is processed, and get your confirmation; and
  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method once the supplier releases the funds.

6. No-Shows

If you miss your flight without cancelling in advance, most airlines treat the ticket as forfeited — no refund, no credit. If you know you can't make a flight, contact us before departure, even if it's last minute. Sometimes something can be salvaged; after takeoff, usually nothing can.

7. Airline-Initiated Cancellations and Major Schedule Changes

If the airline cancels your flight or changes your schedule significantly, you may be offered a new booking, travel credit, a voucher, or a refund — depending on the airline's policies. Under the airline's contract of carriage and DOT rules, you're typically entitled to a full refund or free rebooking. We'll present your options, recommend the best one for your situation, and handle the rebooking at no service fee from us.

8. Partially Used Tickets

If you've already flown one segment of a round-trip, refunds (if available) are calculated based on the unused portion, according to the airline's fare rules. We'll always get you the exact figure before you decide.

9. Items That May Not Be Refunded

The following may not be returned, depending on your fare rules:

  • Non-refundable airline tickets;
  • Service and processing fees;
  • Travel insurance premiums;
  • Seat and baggage fees;
  • Supplier charges; and
  • Promotional reservations.

When in doubt, ask us before you book — it's much easier than after.

10. Travel Insurance

Airline refunds don't cover everything — illness, emergencies, missed connections on separate tickets. We strongly recommend travel insurance for international trips, and our agents can help you choose coverage when you book.

11. Chargebacks

If you have a billing concern, please contact us first before filing a chargeback with your bank. Most disputes are resolved faster by a quick call — seriously, try us first. Chargebacks filed while a refund is already being processed can delay your money significantly.

12. Events Beyond Our Control

We're not responsible for cancellations, delays, or refund limitations caused by events beyond our or the supplier's control — extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, public health situations, airline operational issues, strikes, or security incidents. Refunds in these cases are still subject to the supplier's terms, and we'll help you navigate them.

13. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version on this page — with the "Last updated" date above — is the one currently in effect.
